In this role, youll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the plant, ensuring everything operates safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards. Youll lead a team, manage budgets, and make sure our customers receive the high-quality products and service they expect.What youll be doingYoullplay a key role in managing all aspects of plant operations. This includes:Overseeing safe operation and maintenance of plant and equipmentDriving a strong safety culture through toolbox talks and risk assessments, implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safe Systems of WorkManaging stock control, operational reporting, and budget performanceCoaching and developing a high-performing teamSupporting commercial teams to deliver excellent customer serviceLeading continuous improvement initiatives and change projectsWhatwerelooking forWereseeking someone who brings:Proven experience in asphalt operations and plant managementStrong knowledge of health and safety legislation and environmental complianceSHE NVQ Level 4/QCF Level 6andIOSH/NEBOSH qualifications desirableProficiencyin SAP and Microsoft OfficeA proactive approach to leadership, with the ability to manage change and drive performance and continuous improvementAt Tarmac,werecommitted to creating a dynamic and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
