Are you a Process Engineer who enjoys getting under the skin of manufacturing performance running Time & Motion studies, validating cycle times, standardising best practice, and helping production deliver faster, safer, and more consistently?Our exclusive client NMB Minebea UK, part of a multi-billion-dollar global manufacturing group with operations across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, is renowned for precision engineering and the production of mission-critical components.This role is based at Doddington Road, Lincoln (LN6 3RA), working as part of the Engineering Department to analyse, develop, and optimise manufacturing processes across the Lincoln site. Youll work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Engineering teams to drive operational excellence, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.As the Process Engineer, your responsibilities will include:Conducting detailed Time & Motion studies to establish accurate standard times for manufacturing operationsAnalysing and verifying machine cycle times to ensure alignment with planned production targetsIdentifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and non-value-added activities within production processesDeveloping and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentationEnsuring machines are prepared, set, and loaded correctly to achieve consistent, repeatable performanceMonitoring operator methods to ensure operations are performed safely, correctly, and efficientlySupporting production teams with workflow layout improvements and line balancingImplementing process improvements to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and increase productivityWorking closely with Quality to ensure processes meet required standards and specificationsSupporting the introduction of new products by defining process flows, cycle times and resource requirementsProviding training and guidance to operators on correct methods and best practicesCollaborating with Maintenance to ensure equipment capability supports required cycle timesAnalysing production data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement initiativesParticipating in cost reduction and efficiency improvement projectsEnsuring compliance with Health & Safety standards and company proceduresAs the Process Engineer you will bring:Minimum 35 years experience in a Process Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering role within a production environmentProven experience conducting Time & Motion studies and cycle time analysisStrong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologiesExperience developing standard work instructions and process documentationAbility to analyse production data and identify improvement opportunitiesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsA good understanding of machine set-up, preparation, and operational best practicesAbility to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environmentGood communication skills with the ability to influence and support shop floor teamsProficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysisDesirable (but not essential):Degree / HNC / HND in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering (or similar)Formal Lean or Six Sigma qualificationExperience with ERP/MRP systemsExperience in high-volume precision manufacturingProject management experienceKnowledge of capacity planning / production planning principlesBenefits25 days holiday + bank holidaysCompany pension (5% employer contribution)Subsidised health care & personal accident planDeath in service schemeUniform, bike to work scheme, employee suggestion schemeOn-site canteen & parkingLong service award & employee referral schemeThis Process Engineer position offers the chance to join a well-established site where continuous improvement, standardisation, and performance matter.
