At the forefront of Alternative Provision, we support children and young people to achieve their education goals by providing bespoke and holistic learning packages for all our students.Set within the students' homes and out in the community, our learning packages meet the needs of the individual students, enabling them to succeed and learn via a trauma-informed approach.The benefits we offer our SEND Tutors:Competitive pay: £35 - £45 per hourFlexible working: Craft your own schedule with in-person, hybrid, and work-from-home teaching opportunities, agreeing lesson times with parents,carers, or schoolsFlexible hours: Flexible part-time up to full-time hours, arranged in consultation with clients and schools to suit your scheduleMeaningful work: Provide one-to-one support to the young people that are otherwise left behindPastoral and Pathways Support: SENse Learning keeps a team around you andthe childCommunity and Company Events: Knowledge sharing and resourcesReferral Programme: Get rewarded for successful tutor referralsAt SENse Learning, you will join a community of like-minded individuals dedicated to nurturing and supporting SEND Learners; be part of a team that believes in shaping a brighter future for every student.SEND Tutor role requirements:Experience: 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally working withSEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and / or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed wayQualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)Approach: Understanding of how to work in a child-centred, holistic way; you will have the ingenuity and creativity to make the curriculum work in an individual, student-centred way.Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional referencesLocation: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobsSafeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.The SEND Tutor role and responsibilities:Develop strong relationships with children and young people who have a range of needs and who have often experienced significant difficulties in previous education settings.Provide in person, online / remote, and hybrid support to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational NeedsSupport pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring tailored to the young persons needs, EHCP, and risk assessmentPlan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progressAt SENse Learning, we are on a mission to raise the standard of education for young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
