Join a dedicated team maintaining critical infrastructure at a secure facility where your electrical expertise directly contributes to operational safety and efficiency.Taskmaster Resources Ltd are currently seeking to recruit an on-site Maintenance Electrician to work at HM Prison Whatton.The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, 08.00 17.00 with an hour earlier finish every Friday. There is a need to work 1 in 3 weekends, but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).Duties:Ensuring Health & Safety standards are met across the contractTesting and inspecting electrical installations in line with current IET wiring regulationsResponding promptly to breakdowns, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficientlyPerforming planned and preventative electrical maintenance and diagnosing/replacing failed domestic electrical componentsActively fault finding and problem solving on domestic electrical systemsUndertaking electrical installation activities according to provided designs and IET Wiring RegulationsMonitoring and ordering critical spares for all electrical services, and oversee the BMS SystemSupporting zero carbon initiatives, contributing to sustainability goals, and handling additional tasks as directed by your line managerSkills and Experience:Appropriate technical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2365 parts 1-3, BTEC, NVQ level 3 or above)BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations, specifically 18th EditionKnowledge and experience of Electrical Systems and Electricity at Work RegulationsExperience of electrical maintenance activities, general distribution, installation, and testingAbility to work alone and use initiativeCapable of working at heightsPrison Security Clearance will be required.Pay rate:£21.00 to £25.00 per hourWorking hours:The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, 08.00 17.00 with an hour earlier finish every Friday.
