Head of TaxDue to extensive growth, Fusion Consulting Group are looking to recruit a Head of Tax to be based out of our head office, in Finchley.Fusion Consulting Group is a rapidly growing, multi-disciplinary professional services firm with subsidiaries spanning Tax, Accounting, Legal, Financial Services, Executive Recruitment, and Fractional CFO Services.We deliver an integrated suite of advisory solutions to entrepreneurial businesses and private clients across the UK and internationally.Job SummaryThe Head of Tax will assume ownership and manage FCGs Tax Practice, which comprises of UK private client service provision to a number of clients around the globe.We are looking for a highly experienced candidate who is ideally CTA qualified. The role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work with an incredibly broad range of clients.Our business is geared towards providing Taxation services to a broad range of clients including expats, non-UK residents and to support High Net Worth clients, Entrepreneurs and Trusts through the life cycle of their business.ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Management of tax departmentReporting to the Managing DirectorProducing reports on efficiencies of the departmentSetting deadlines and ensuring KPIs are met for the tax team and wider departmentLeading weekly departmental meetingsSigning off and monitoring training programmesLeading staff reviewsAssisting with recruitmentSpeaking with clients and prospects (over the phone) and answering tax queriesTo attend face to face meetings with clients, and in certain cases to lead those meetingsHandle new leads and enquiries with a view to signing up new clientsManage the returns processes with our 3rd party outsourcing agenciesAssisting the wider tax team with tax return reviews from outsourcing companyDevelopment, mentorship and growth of junior members of the teamYou may be required to produce technical newsletters and articles for the firms websiteYou will be required to write technical taxation reports and tax planning adviceSmall portfolio of gold standard clients compliance & adviceAssisting tax leadership team with strategyVarious ad hoc work as and when it arisesCandidate RequirementsIdeally you will be CTA qualified and have experience in a similar role in a medium size practice.Strong tax technical and practical expertise within the private client tax arena with demonstrable broad experience of the tax affairs of non-domiciled individuals, entrepreneurs and share schemes for small and medium-sized enterprisesExperience in managing a portfolio of clients through the self assessment tax cycleAptitude for research and the ability to prepare complex written advice/calculationsStrong communication skills, be it face-face, email or in writing, and have an emotional intelligence in dealing with sensitive private client matters e.g. divorce cases, business partner disputesSome experience in identifying opportunities for business development on tax clients and across other service lines would be advantageousProven track record of managing successful teams and delivering resultsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office - notably, Excel)What we OfferCompetitive basic salaryGrowth SharesPrivate medical insuranceGroup life insuranceBreakfast clubFusionPoints bonus schemeAn additional day off for your Birthday every yearTailored training and development plans for every employeeJob Type: Full-time, Monday-Friday (Fridays WFH)Job Location:London Finchley, N3About Fusion Consulting Group:Fusion is a multi-discipline consulting practice assisting entrepreneurial businesses and private clients by delivering an end to end solution throughout their business journey.Fusion crafts client solutions using its in-house team of highly skilled consultants with a diverse range of expertise within International Taxation, Company Accounting, Executive Recruitment, IT Strategy, Business Advisory, Legal Services and Financial services ensuring a joined up approach and seamless client experience.Equal OpportunitiesFusion Consulting Ltd is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
