With multiple regional offices across the UK and international operations, our client brings their vision to life locally empowering their teams with the tools, trust and autonomy to succeed.If you're looking for a role where your ideas are valued, your development is supported, and your impact is visible this could be your next move.The Role: Senior Design & Planning ExecutiveThis is a pivotal position responsible for:Preparing and submitting detailed design and construction informationProducing technical viability assessmentsSecuring planning and technical approvalsProviding technical support throughout the build processYou will combine strong in-house design capability with the ability to manage external consultants and work collaboratively with Local Planning Authorities to deliver commercially viable, policy-compliant, high-quality placemaking solutions.You will also play a key role in strengthening and developing the wider Design Team.Key ResponsibilitiesHealth, Safety & EnvironmentStrong working knowledge of CDM, BSA, Health & Safety and Environmental regulationsProactively design out riskUnderstand ecological and environmental constraintsInput into Environmental Action PlansSupport implementation of CDM, EMS and BSA processesLand, Planning & Community EngagementIn-depth understanding of UK planning policy and legislationManage community consultationsAppoint and manage consultant teams for applications and appealsSecure commercially viable planning approvalsOptimise planning submissions to meet customer and business needsEvaluate development opportunities and site acquisitionsContribute to viability assessments and negotiationsDischarge planning conditions in line with programmePre-Development ManagementProduce layouts and design packages for viability and planningEnsure compliance with Building Regulations and statutory authoritiesLiaise with planners, highways, water authorities, engineers and NHBCValue engineer technical solutionsManage consultant fees and budgetsDeliver high-quality coordinated design informationUnderstand affordable housing policy and deliveryDevelopment ManagementProvide technical support to site and regional teamsManage product and site documentationResolve technical queries with NHBC and site teamsPrepare and maintain legal plansAbout YouDegree qualified in Planning, Architecture or related discipline (or equivalent experience)Minimum 5 years experience within housebuilding, development or consultancyStrong background in planning and developmentCommercially aware with strong viability understandingExcellent communicator with the ability to influence at all levelsProactive, self-motivated and solutions-focusedWhats in It for You?Competitive basic salary (£55,000)£5,200 car allowance5% annual bonusPrivate healthcareCompany-funded life insuranceContributory pension schemeRetail discountsDiscounted house purchase schemeCar leasing schemeShare plansFlexible benefits (including option to buy additional annual leave)Industry-leading training and career developmentOur client offers a supportive, no-blame culture where collaboration is valued and professional growth is actively encouraged.
