Our client base continues to grow month on month and as a result we are now looking for a number of Mobile Technicians (Fabric Biased) across the UKABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Gas Engineer to join our growing maintenance team. The role will involve delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across a varied portfolio of commercial sites.The successful candidate will be technically competent, commercially aware, and committed to delivering high levels of service, safety, and compliance. This is a mobile role requiring flexibility and strong communication skills to support both internal teams and client stakeholders.WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FORPlanned Preventative MaintenanceComplete PPM tasks in line with contract schedules and SFG20 standards.Ensure all maintenance activities are delivered proactively and efficiently.Maintain site logbooks and ensure accurate documentation of works completed.Reactive Maintenance & RepairsDiagnosing of faults effectively and carry out timely repairs to commercial gas appliances and associated plant.Minimise downtime through efficient troubleshooting and resolution.Escalate issues to the helpdesk and Contract Manager where appropriate.Quotations & Commercial AwarenessProduce detailed and accurate quotations, including:Correct parts identificationAccurate labour estimatesClear methodology statementsEnsure works are delivered profitably while maintaining quality and client satisfaction.Compliance & Health & SafetyWork in strict accordance with company H&S policies and statutory compliance requirements.Ensure all gas works comply with current legislation and industry standards.Maintain a safe working environment and take responsibility for site safety.Communication & Client LiaisonCommunicate effectively with clients, helpdesk, and management teams.Provide professional, courteous customer service at all times.Build and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally.Asset & Equipment CareEnsure tools, equipment, calibration devices and company assets are maintained and stored correctly.Report any defects or damage promptly.Skills and ExperienceEssential Gas QualificationsCity & Guilds COCN1 Core Commercial Gas SafetyCCN1 Core Domestic Natural Gas SafetyCDGA1 Non-Domestic Natural Gas & LPG Direct Fired Heating AppliancesCODNCO1 Changeover Domestic to Non-Domestic CoreCIGA1 Non-Domestic Indirect Gas-Fired Heating AppliancesCPA1 Combustion Performance AnalysisCENWAT Domestic Central Heating/Hot Water BoilersICPN1 Non-Domestic Pipework & FittingsTPCP1 / TPCP1A Testing & PurgingDesirable QualificationsCKR1 Domestic Gas Cooking AppliancesCCCN1 Non-Domestic Catering AppliancesHTR1 Domestic Gas Fires & Wall HeatersCORT1 Radiant Plaque & Tube HeatersLegionella Awareness & Practical TrainingAsbestos AwarenessPASMAIPAF 3a & 3bExperience25 years experience in commercial gas maintenance.Experience within a mobile FM environment desirable.Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability.THE PACKAGEStarting salary DOE with annual pay reviews.25 Days holiday plus bank holidays.Uniform and Tools provided.Auto enrolment on the company Pension scheme, Death in Service available after qualifying period.INTERESTEDIf you like the sound of the above and want to be part of a fast-growing business, we would love to hear from you.JBRP1_UKTJ
