We deliver a reliable, efficient and cost-effective concrete service that our customers trust to keep their projects moving.We are looking for a reliable and motivated HGV Class 2 Driver to join our growing team.The RoleThis is a hands-on, customer-facing role that plays a vital part in the day-to-day delivery of our volumetric concrete service.Youll be operating modern vehicles, working closely with colleagues and customers, and representing Border Mix on sites across Edinburgh, the Lothians, South Lanarkshire and the Scottish Borders. Flexibility is essential, as we are a customer-led business and no two days are the same.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate Class 2 HGV vehicles in line with company and legal standardsDeliver volumetric concrete to customer sites efficiently and professionallyCommunicate clearly with customers and colleagues on siteWork independently and as part of a close-knit teamMaintain high standards of punctuality, reliability and work ethicCarry out basic vehicle checks and report any issues promptlySupport operational efficiency by adapting to changing schedules and site requirementsRequirementsValid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licenceStrong communication skillsReliable, punctual and hard-workingA positive, team-focused attitudeAbility to work independently when requiredWillingness to learn and develop new skillsNice to HavePrevious experience operating volumetric concrete mixersExperience working with concrete or construction materialsBasic HGV maintenance or mechanical skillsHours & Location40+ hours per week (flexibility is key)Typical hours are 7.30am/8.00am to 5.00pm, but start and finish times may varyWe coverEdinburgh, the Lothians, South Lanarkshire and the Scottish Borders.Salary & BenefitsAbove-average salary28 days annual leave per annum (inclusive of public holidays)Stable, long-term role within a well-established and respected local businessIf youre a dependable Class 2 Driver who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a supportive, experienced team, wed love to hear from you.
