Senior EstimatorLocation: Derbyshire (site-based with travel as required)Contract: Full-time, permanentReporting to: General ManagerSalary: Competitive salary (negotiable dependent on experience)Additional: Performance-related bonusThe CompanyLinsco are delighted to be supporting our client, a long-established specialist joinery business known for delivering high-quality bespoke joinery, heritage works and complex unique projects.Following a recent change in strategy, the business is strengthening their commercial capabilities and are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to take ownership of estimating and pricing within their Bespoke Joinery division.For the right individual, this role offers genuine scope to grow into broader estimating and contracts-related responsibilities as the business continues to expand across multiple sites.The RoleThis is a hands-on estimating position, ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the detail. You will spend the majority of your time pricing work, building accurate labour and material costings, and supporting the business in securing the right projects at the right margin.You'll work closely with clients, architects, contractors and internal production teams to ensure robust pricing, clear scope definition and smooth handover from tender to delivery. You'll help the business secure profitable work while protecting margins through strong commercial awareness and disciplined pricing.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & PricingTake full ownership of estimating and quoting bespoke joinery projectsReview drawings and specifications and undertake site surveys where requiredBuild detailed cost plans covering labour, materials, subcontractors and marginPrepare and submit tenders, quotations, clarifications and exclusionsLiaise with clients, architects and contractors throughout the tender processCommercial SupportSupport contract set-up by clearly defining scope and exclusionsAssist with pricing variations during project deliveryWork closely with production and installation teams to ensure a smooth handoverReview completed projects and feed lessons learned into future pricingOversight & Continuous ImprovementHelp standardise estimating assumptions and pricing methodologiesImprove estimating processes, templates and documentationProvide estimating oversight across both sites where appropriateWhat You'll NeedProven experience as an Estimator within joinery sectorComfortable spending the majority of your time estimating and pricingStrong understanding of labour build-ups, material costs, margin and riskCommercially astute and confident in challenging scope and assumptionsHighly organised, detail-focused and collaborativeAmbitious and keen to grow with the business as opportunities ariseWhat's You'll GetCompetitive salaryPerformance-related bonus20 days annual leave plus bank holidaysPension schemeLaptop and mobile phoneMileage paid for site visitsA pivotal role within an ambitious and growing business, with clear progression potentialApplicationsIf you feel that you have the relevant experience to be successful in this position and would like to find out more, please apply online today, attaching a copy of your current CV.Due to the vast number of applications that we receive, it is not possible for us to contact all applicants; therefore, only suitable candidates will be contacted.
