Senior Product ManagerAn established consumer products business is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the development and management of an outdoor product range. This role is responsible for delivering commercially successful products that meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and financial targets.You will own the full product lifecycle, from concept through to high-volume manufacture, with a strong focus on sourcing from Far East suppliers. The role requires close collaboration with procurement, quality, R&D, marketing, and sales teams, ensuring products are delivered on time and in full (OTIF) and to best-in-class standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine clear product and supplier requirements in line with consumer needs and category strategyLead the design, development, certification, and manufacture of new products across the full lifecycleDeliver products with a strong focus on range optimisation, sustainability, and durabilitySelect and manage third-party suppliers in collaboration with procurement and quality teamsManage all activity through a structured New Product Introduction (NPI) process, including business case developmentLead customised mechanical product design with OEM and ODM suppliers (materials, structure, mechanisms, wiring, etc.)Agree and manage capital expenditure requirements as part of NPI business casesEnsure products comply with all relevant UK and European regulatory and quality standardsOwn the packaging and instruction manual development processCollaborate with marketing teams to create product content including imagery, video, and product descriptionsBuild and execute product launch plans with marketing and sales teamsEssential Skills, Knowledge & ExperienceStrong understanding of core product design principlesProven experience working within a formal stage-gate NPI processDemonstrated success in delivering new products to marketStrong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysisExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure to tight deadlinesStrong attention to detail and confidence in managing complex technical informationGood commercial awareness of markets and customersDesirableExperience within UK B2C and B2B consumer appliance marketsQualificationsDegree in marketing, business, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional qualification)ExperienceMinimum of 5 years' relevant post-qualification experience in new product design and introduction rolesSignificant experience working with third-party suppliers across mechanical, electrical, electronic, or software elementsJBRP1_UKTJ
