Building Surveyor / Senior / Associate Building SurveyorLocation: Hybrid - Based from our London office, or in the South, SE1 2AUSalary: Competitive, DOE + Excellent BenefitsContract: Full time, permanent. 37.5 hour working week; Monday to Friday.Benefits: The role will command a highly competitive salary and remuneration package as well as a broad benefits package focused on personal development, wellbeing and community.We are Monaghans Ltd, we provide what is truly the best-in-class multi-disciplinary building consultancy services, delivering quality professional expertise and advice to clients throughout the UK and internationally.We have offices in London, Sheffield, Manchester, and Leeds and our core services are cost management, project management, programme management, building surveying and health and safety consultancy to multiple construction sectors, no two days are the same with us.Monaghans is seeking Building Surveyors at multiple levels from Building Surveyor through to Senior / Associate to join our expanding London & South team.Working within our Built Asset Consultancy Team, you will support and lead projects across the Retail, Commercial, Industrial, Education and Residential sectors throughout the UK. Whether you are developing your career or already leading teams and key client accounts, there is a place for you within our growing London office.In addition to this, as our Building Surveyor you will (depending on your level):Building Surveying ResponsibilitiesPreparing detailed Building Survey reportsProviding reasoned advice on dilapidations and leasehold mattersInspecting and preparing Schedules of ConditionContract Administration and managing construction contractsPreparing scheme designs, specifications, programmes and costingsPreparing tender documentation and advising on procurement routesUndertaking Party Wall inspections and negotiationsActing as Tenant's Surveyor to support successful project handoversUpward reporting and maintaining strong communication with clientsTravelling within the UK for site inspections and surveysSenior / Associate-Level Leadership ResponsibilitiesManaging and developing client accounts and new instructionsLeading project delivery teams across multiple sectorsBusiness development and contributing to strategic growthPeople management, mentoring and developing junior team membersLeading on professional services and pre/post-contract deliveryChairing meetings, managing stakeholders and advising senior clientsProviding design risk management and CDM advisory inputIn order to be successful in this role you must have:Degree in Building Surveying or relevant construction disciplineOR CIOB qualification with relevant demonstrable experienceStrong technical knowledge in: Contract Administration, Building Surveys, CDM, Schedules of Condition, Dilapidations and Party Wall mattersExcellent communication and report-writing skillsStrong IT skills including Microsoft Office and mobile/field data toolsFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicleA strong team ethic and flexible, proactive attitudeMonaghans are committed to the continuous professional development of all our staff and we provide a range of professional training programmes and support for staff at all levels including those requiring support to obtain relevant academic or professional qualifications.Desirable (Depending on Level)MRICS (or working towards)iMaPS or PD/CDM-related qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH)Experience in Retail, Commercial, Leisure or Residential sectorsProven team leadership and business development experience (Senior/Associate level)Ability to manage multiple projects and meet commercial goalsStrong people management and stakeholder leadership skillsThis job advert is not eligible for sponsorship.If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience to be successful in this role, click on APPLY today, forwarding an up-to-date copy of your CV for consideration in the first instance.No agencies please.JBRP1_UKTJ
