Together, were building a better future.About the Role/teamWere looking for a skilled and experienced Roofing Repairs Technician to join our expanding Direct Labour Operations (DLO) team. Youll play a vital role in maintaining the safety, comfort, and durability of our homes by carrying out day-to-day roofing repairs and maintenance across our property portfolio.Working independently, youll diagnose issues, complete repairs, and ensure all work meets regulatory and safety standards. Youll work across both flat and pitched roofs, using a variety of materials and tools, and your expertise will help us deliver high-quality, reliable services to our customers.Well equip you with:A fully equipped hybrid van and fuel cardAn electronic tablet for job scheduling and updatesWorkwearKey Responsibilities:Carry out day-to-day roofing repairs and maintenance across a range of propertiesDiagnose roofing issues and complete repairs to a high standardWork with a variety of roofing materials, including wood, asphalt, and insulation systemsRepair or replace shingles, tiles, felt, and other roofing componentsEnsure all work complies with building regulations, health 'safety standards, and organisational policiesConstruct or repair weather-resistant roofing systemsExperience with Flat & Pitched roofingUndertake minor carpentry tasks where required to support roofing repairsMaintain accurate records of work completed using digital systemsProvide excellent customer service, acting as a professional ambassador for SettleParadigmWhat Were Looking ForMust haves:City & Guilds qualification, NVQ, or equivalent experience in roofing tradesProven experience in roofing maintenance and repairs (flat and/or pitched roofs)Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction practices, and health 'safety standardsAbility to work at heights and undertake physically demanding tasksProficiency with roofing tools and materialsFull valid manual UK driving licence (preferably clean)Ability to work independently and manage workload effectivelyClear communication skills and a customer-focused approachMust be reliableNice to haves:Minor carpentry skills to support roofing repairsExperience mentoring or supporting other team membersExperience working within social housing or local authority environmentsFor added brilliance:A proactive, solution-focused mindsetPride in delivering high-quality workmanshipFlexibility and a positive team spiritBenefitsAt SettleParadigm, we believe in creating an environment where our people feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.
