We are currently recruiting for a reliable and motivated FLT / Sideloader Operative to join our team on a permanent night shift at our New Holland site.Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesFeed packs onto the line de-skidded and un-banded ready for useRemoval of produce from the line and stacking in allocated spaceStack packs so the skids are uniform and stacks are safeUnloading and recording raw MDF products and general deliveriesEnsuring stock rotation of raw and finished productsCreating room prior to production runs, liaising with the Yard Manager and Finished Products SupervisorOrganising MDF drivers with regards to work and stock movementsLoading and unloading of Paint IBCsRemoval of waste IBCsLaying out of IBCs for vacuum tanker collectionReporting any maintenance issues via T-Cards systemDaily service checks/work according to service schedules of the Sideloader/FLTWeekly check of service sheets of MDF Sideloader/FLTReporting any machine defects to office personnelCarrying out all work in line with current risk assessments and SOPsThe above list is not exhaustive, and additional duties may be required as directed by Management.Skills & KnowledgeBasic Numeracy & EnglishValid Side Loader & experience on Side Loader ForkliftFull UK (or recognised) Driving LicencePersonal AttributesConfident, enthusiastic, approachable and motivatedEnergetic and flexible team memberProactive with a can do attitudeStrong sense of responsibilityAbility to build good working relationshipsGeneral ResponsibilitiesTake advantage of staff development opportunitiesUndertake other reasonable duties as requested by the Line ManagerAdhere to company policies and procedures, particularly Health & SafetyEnsure proper use and care of equipment and materialsDevelop additional skills to cover/deputise for other positions when requiredUse communication devices (including radio headsets) where necessaryFlexibilityDuties may evolve in line with departmental needsOvertime may be required during busy periodsWorking hours may change during peak times, including alternative shift patternsWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly rate of £14.01Permanent night shift stabilitySupportive team environmentOngoing training and development opportunitiesIf you are a motivated FLT/Sideloader Operative looking for a stable permanent night position, we would like to hear from you.About usOver the last 70 years, weve gone from humble beginnings to becoming one of the largest independent timber importers and processors in the UK.
