Job Title: Test EngineerLocation: Lymington, HampshireSalary: £35,000 to £45,000 basic + benefitsOn-siteTest Engineer – Electronic Instrumentation – R&D & Test DevelopmentWe are recruiting for an Embedded Test Engineer to join an established engineering and R&D team developing advanced electronic instrumentation products used in real-world industrial applications.This is a hands-on role focused on test development, automated test systems, product validation and production test fixture design for embedded electronic products. You'll be involved from early product concept through validation and into production test readiness.This position would suit a Test Development Engineer, Product Validation Engineer or Embedded Systems Test Engineer who enjoys building automated test solutions and working closely with multidisciplinary design teams.Key Responsibilities - Test Engineer – Electronic Instrumentation – R&D & Test DevelopmentDevelop and execute system-level test plans for embedded electronic productsDesign and build automated test fixtures and test equipment for engineering and production useDevelop automated test scripts and software using Python and/or C/C++Perform product validation testing against technical and user requirementsSupport integration and system testing of embedded hardware and firmwareContribute to test strategy during early product development stagesVerify and refine test fixtures for production test environmentsWork closely with electronics, firmware and mechanical engineering teams Technical Areas - Test Engineer – Electronic Instrumentation – R&D & Test DevelopmentEmbedded systems testing, Electronic product validation, Automated test development, Hardware/software integration testing, Test fixture and test rig design, Communication protocols and hardware interfaces, Production and NPI test processesSkills & Experience Required - Test Engineer – Electronic Instrumentation – R&D & Test DevelopmentExperience in electronic or embedded systems test and validationExperience developing automated tests and test processesProgramming skills in Python and/or C/C++ for test automationExperience designing or building electronic test fixtures or test equipmentKnowledge of hardware interfaces and communication protocolsExperience debugging embedded systemsStrong problem-solving and technical documentation skills This is a great opportunity to join a highly successful, rapidly expanding company who are investing heavily in their products/R&D.If you have any specific questions about this Test Engineer – Electronic Instrumentation – R&D & Test Development role in Hampshire, please contact David on 01582 350052.JBRP1_UKTJ
