Location: Appleby Magna, DE12 8AAContract Type: PermanentHours: Night Shift - Sunday to Thursday - 22:30 - 06:30Salary: £34,608 plus 30 days holiday, pension, bonus, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing supportAbout the JobAs Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Team Leader you will effectively embed Unipart Health, Safety, and Wellbeing policy and procedures across the shift through co-ordinating and monitoring safety related systems. You will also promote an understanding that the effective management of health, safety and wellbeing is an integral part of efficient business and operational management.As part of your key responsibilities, youll:Support teams on health and safety legislation, safe methods of working, prevention of hazards to health and the suitability of plant, protective equipment, and control measures to ensure a positive culture and high standards are achieved.Understand and promote the use of Unipart Group Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Policies and proceduresSupport the delivery of the Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) Plan and completion of associated actionsArrange and deliver Health and Safety courses, inductions and meetings, producing materials and agendas as requiredFacilitate the reporting and investigation of all Health and Safety incidents, ensuring root causes are identified and recommendations made are delivered to prevent recurrence and improve controlsCoach and mentor leaders to improve their investigation skills and ensure that lessons learned are shared across sections/departmentsUpdate reports, provide statistical summaries of incidents to management and draw attention to significant trends and occurrencesWork alongside cross functionally to facilitate the completion of risk assessments, SOPs, audits and corrective/preventative actionsAbout YouWed love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think youd be able to perform well in this role!Minimum NEBOSH CertificateGood IT skills, with knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft OfficeEffective interpersonal, management, and communication skillsOrganised with an eye for detailData interrogation, analysis, and presentationDemonstrable understanding of Health and Safety legislationIn depth knowledge of working in Logistics supply chainsAbility to develop and deliver training materialFull UK manual driving licenseOur recruitment and selection process has been developed to ensure that it is consistent, fair and provides equality of opportunity - all selection decisions are based solely on technical and behavioural competencies.
