Astute's Renewables team are partnering with an established agricultural business who own and operate an anaerobic digestion plant to compliment their farming and animal rearing business. We're looking to recruit a Plant Operator for a site near Melton Mowbray. The Plant Operator will play a vital role in ensuring the day to day running of the plant.The Plant Operator role comes with a salary up to £35,000 with additional benefits to be discussed at interview stage.If you're looking to work for an organisation that values their employees and would like to work within the renewable energy sector, then submit your CV to apply today.Responsibilities and duties of the Plant Operator roleReporting to the Plant Manager you will:Day to day operations on the Anaerobic Digestion plantBeing part of an on call rotaOperating the plant using SCADA/DCS systems, ensuring performance is stable via the control screensCompleting routine site checks, reading and samplingVisual inspections and fault finding on plant and equipmentCarrying out first line maintenance, such as basic isolations and component changesFeeding fuel/feedstock into the plant using hoppersOperating a telehandler on siteSupporting the depacking (training provided)Ensure that health and safety is adhered to at all times, without failPerform any housekeeping duties that need doingOther duties as requiredProfessional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:Telehandler licence or proven experience using and driving a TelehandlerDemonstrable experience of working alone and in upholding great H&S standardsExperience in an anaerobic digestion or agricultural, production or process environmentA relevant Engineering degree is desired but not requiredUK driving licencePersonal skillsThe Plant Operator role would suit someone who is:A problem-solver and self-starterSomeone hard-working who enjoys working outdoorsSalary and benefits of the Plant Operator roleSalary up to £35,000Call out fees of £25Onsite accommodation available at nominal costOvertime availableOther benefits to be discussed#LI-RE1INDRENAstute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
