We are recruiting for an experienced Ecology Advisor to support ecological compliance and environmental protection across a major infrastructure programme in the Aylesbury region. This is a site-based role working across multiple locations, therefore a full UK driving licence is required. The RoleYou will be responsible for promoting and maintaining ecological best practice, ensuring works are delivered in line with relevant legislation, licences, and project requirements. Key duties will include:Undertaking ecological surveys for protected speciesCarrying out pre-commencement desk studies and site walkoversDelivering ecological briefings and Toolbox Talks to site teamsPreparing and reviewing ecological and arboricultural permitsDeveloping mitigation measures and writing Precautionary Working Method StatementsProducing technical ecological reports and assessmentsCoordinating Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) activitiesManaging specialist ecology and landscaping subcontractorsMonitoring mitigation sites and carrying out assurance inspectionsProviding ecological watching briefs and targeted site supervisionSupporting investigations into ecology-related incidents and corrective actionsWorking collaboratively with construction teams to ensure full compliance About YouThe successful candidate will have:Experience applying ecological legislation on UK infrastructure or construction projectsStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing prioritiesExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsThe ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teamsMembership of a relevant professional body and progress towards chartershipA Level 1 (or above) Great Crested Newt licence – additional survey licences desirableA full UK driving licenceThis is a great opportunity for an Ecology professional to play a key role in a high-profile programme while working as part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team.Please apply online today by submitting your CV!JBRP1_UKTJ
