Deputy Manager: SwadlincoteSalary Up to £40,496* ( this is inclusive of £60 per sleep).£3.50+ over time rate.Since 2002, our client has been reaching out and changing lives. Our client is an established yet progressive company, operating Residential Childrens Homes and Independent Schools across the UK, looking after children and young people up to the age of 18.This one bed complex care home is rated highly and our client is genuinely a child focused provider that offers well funded and well staffed homes.We are looking for dynamic youth mentors who have a desire to engage, guide and bring a positive influence in the lives of the young people in our care.Training will be provided but the most important quality we are looking for is a commitment and a desire to bring about a positive change in the lives of young people.The successful candidate will have experience working in a Childrens Home and will already have achieved the Level 3 Diploma in Childrens Residential Care.Deputy Manager role will involve:Helping to create a positive environment for each young person with particular reference to his/ her safety, health and education.Helping to carry the homes ethos and values through to the young people and represent our client as a professional.Maintaining good professional practices in accordance with Ofsted Regulations and the Quality Care Standards for childrens homes.Engaging in the effective delivery of residential childcare in accordance with Company policies and procedures.Managing the Home in the absence of the Registered ManagerWorking on the floor alongside Childrens Residential Care Workers and the Young PeopleOur normal shift patterns are on a rolling rota basis and our shift working hours are: 07.30am-23.00pm per shift, which means days of working can vary from week to week.Sleep in shifts are essential for this role.All applicants must have a valid manual UK/EU Driving Licence.A company application form will be required to be fully completed and returned prior to interview.
