Join our team today.As a Planned Electrical Craftsperson, you'll be the go-to expert for maintaining and repairing electrical systems across our wastewater treatment sites. From pumps and motors to control panels and switchgear, you'll ensure our assets run efficiently and reliably-helping prevent environmental risks and keeping communities safe.This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to develop new skills in a supportive team environment.Competitive salary: £35,777 - £42,399 per yearExtra earnings: Guaranteed standby allowance + overtime and call-out paymentsCompany van providedFlexible time off: 1 in 4 Fridays offGenerous holiday: 23-27 days + bank holidays, plus the option to buy or sell leaveCycle to Work schemeFree parking at most sitesEmployee share schemesWellbeing support through Champion HealthDiscounts on shopping, travel, gyms, and more via PerkboxCompetitive contributory pensionDiscretionary bonusAnd plenty more!What you'll be doing:Carrying out planned maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment across multiple wastewater treatment sitesWorking with pumps, motors, panels, switchgear, and specialist process machineryInstalling new electrical equipment to BS7671 standardsDiagnosing and repairing electrical control systemsCollaborating with mechanical and electrical colleagues as part of a mobile, multi-skilled teamMaintaining high safety standards, including compliance with RAMS and IEE regulationsParticipate in standby/call-out rotaWhat we are looking for:Essentials5 GCSE's (or equivalent) including Maths, English, and Science at grade C or above.Indentured Apprenticeship in an Electrical disciplineLevel 3 Modern Apprenticeship in an Electrical disciplineLevel 3 Electrical Engineering qualification e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC, ONC/HNC/HNDA full UK driving licence is requiredDesirablesCity & Guilds Inspect and Test 2391-10Up to date with 18th Edition IEE RegulationsCompEx 09/10Industrial/Commercial experience requiredExperience with VSD's, soft starts and motor control systemsUnderstanding of Wiring DiagramsKnowledge of working with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)Good working knowledge of LV systems (working with 415vac down to 24vac and dc control and indication)Ready to energise your career?Apply today and join a team where your expertise powers essential services and helps build a sustainable future.Closing Date: 06 March 2026Please note that the successful candidate will be subject to a mandatory DBS check as part of the onboarding process.Be yourself, we like it that way.
