We pride ourselves on our friendly and inclusive culture, and continually strive to maintain this.About the RoleSupervise and co-ordinate maintenance activities across the site and off-site quarryIdentify and suggest improvements to the manufacturing and quality processesCarry out all planned preventative maintenance as requestedAssist with the installation of new plant equipmentPromote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficienciesCarry out factory inspections, giving advice and support to production operatives and other personnel as relevantMonitoring quality from raw material to finished goodsEnsure all new starters are efficiently inducted and trainedProvide emergency maintenance cover when requiredHours of Work: 8.00am to 5.00pm.Work pattern negotiable at interview, but working 5 out of 7 days which may include weekend workAbout YouPreferably you will be apprentice trained, but with a minimum level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline.Successful candidates will be asked to provide copies of their relevant qualifications / carry out competence assessmentsTime served with experience of working in a manufacturing environment ideally heavy manufacturing (clay, refractory, quarrying, cement) or FMCGAt least a years leadership experience in a Team Leader / Supervisor role or similarStrong leadership, communication and motivational skillsExcellent attention to detail with a keen attitude and a positive approachGood exposure to health 'safety standardsGood working knowledge of EHSStrong organisational & planning abilitiesPassionate about improvement with knowledge of Lean manufacturingAbility to use common sense to deal with any issues that ariseAnalytical, fault finding and problem-solving skillsExperience and diagnostics experience of hydraulic, pneumatic, drive chain fault finding, bearing fitting / alignment and electrical controlsystemsKnowledge of cutting & grinding regulationsMaintenance experience and diagnostics of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control systemsAbout our BenefitsProfessional growth, training and opportunities to hone your skills and knowledgeAnnual salary up to £48,800Annual bonus schemeAbility to purchase additional holidaysCompany PensionSIP ability to become a shareholder via our Share SchemeLife AssuranceFlexible benefits offering (including health, wellbeing and money saving opportunities)The closing date for this role is subject to change and may be closed earlier than advertised.JBRP1_UKTJ
