This role focuses on providing practical guidance and one-to-one support to help people address financial challenges, benefit entitlement, and debt issues. You will work closely with probation and custodial teams and use a relational mentoring approach to support people with complex circumstances.This role is ideal for someone who is customer-focused, resilient, and motivated to make a positive difference in peoples lives.Key responsibilities:Provide one-to-one mentoring support with a focus on finance, benefits, and debt managementBuild strong working relationships with probation, prison and community local teamsSupport individuals with complex needs using a relational and person-centred approachHelp people understand their financial options and access appropriate support servicesMaintain accurate records and contribute to reporting requirementsTravel across Lancashire and Cumbria to deliver support in a variety of settingsAbout you:Experience in mentoring, support work, or a similar advocacy roleComfortable working with people who may have challenging or complex needsExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsAble to work independently and manage a varied caseloadFull UK driving license and access to a car is essentialHome broadband connection required for remote workingExperience within a custodial or justice setting is advantageous but not essentialBenefits:The organisation offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, financial security, and work-life balance.
