Test & Design Engineer?? Telford?? Full Time | PermanentAbout the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Test & Design Engineer to join a dynamic manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Lab Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring products meet current international standards and regulatory requirements.This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced engineering team, supporting new product development and ensuring compliance through robust testing, documentation, and supplier collaboration.Your work will directly contribute to the successful launch of innovative, compliant products into global markets.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain product risk assessmentsDevelop and implement test plans in line with required standards and legislationEnsure internal design and test verification methods meet current approval standardsReview and interpret third-party test data to support new product introductionsIdentify compliance gaps and request additional data from global suppliersMaintain product technical files in accordance with legislationSupport product development through inspection, testing, and samplingDesign packaging and Bills of Materials (BOMs)Create and maintain technical drawings (in-house and third-party products)Develop technical documentation including instruction manuals, energy labels, and product codesSupport sales and customer demonstrations with technical presentations and samplesDefine and maintain spare parts documentationAbout YouEssential:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)Minimum 3 years' experience in an engineering role within manufacturingAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematic diagramsStrong understanding of compliance and product approval processesExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExperience working in fast-paced environments with short lead timesWillingness to travel between sitesDesirable:Knowledge of current and emerging legislationPrevious product testing experienceHands-on engineering experienceExperience within appliance, foodservice equipment, or mechanical product design sectorsWhat You'll BringStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail and a methodical approachConfidence working with suppliers and cross-functional teamsA proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvementJBRP1_UKTJ
