Senior Analyst (GC-MS and GC-MS/MS)Location: BuckinghamshireWorking hours: 09:00-17:00 Mon - FriSalary: CompetitiveAs a Senior Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting clients to meet Environmental Quality Standards (EQS) and Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs). Working with advanced GC-MS and GC-MS/MS instrumentation, you will help design and deliver tailored analytical programmes to meet complex regulatory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a business stream to deliver results against agreed targetsOperate single and triple quadrupole GC-MS and GC-MS/MS systemsApply a minimum of 5+ years' experience as a trace-level GC AnalystSupervise and provide technical leadership within the GC sectionTrain and mentor a team of 10-15 scientists, including Extraction Chemists and 1st and 2nd Grade AnalystsEnsure samples are prepared and analysed to customer specificationsPerform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentationDevelop, optimise, validate and troubleshoot analytical methodsInvestigate and close Non-Conforming Work in line with quality systemsKey RequirementsBSc in Chemistry or related scientific disciplineAt least 5 years' experience in trace-level GC-MS analysis within an accredited laboratoryStrong technical knowledge of GC-MS and GC-MS/MSExperience supervising, training, and developing junior staffProven ability to meet targets and deadlinesFamiliarity with ISO 17025 quality systemsImportant Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
