Package Description: Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in peoples lives?Were looking for an experienced, confident and values-led Deputy Manager to join our brand-new team at Elizabeth Close in Oldland Common.This bespoke supported living service will support adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs as they move out of specialist hospitals or secure environments and take their next steps towards living safely and independently in the community.This is a rare opportunity to help shape a brand-new service from the ground up, and play a leading role in supporting individuals with complex needs to grow and thrive.About Oldland CommonOldland Common is a newly built development offering six self-contained homes for adults aged 18 and over.The service is designed for people with high levels of complexity, including behaviours that challenge, communication differences, autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs and, in some cases, forensic histories.Our aim is to support people to resettle successfully into the community, develop independence, build meaningful routines and live safe, fulfilling lives. Support is typically delivered on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis, depending on the needs of each individual.About the roleAs the Deputy Manager, youll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the service, supporting the Registered Manager and helping lead a team that provides safe, structured and person-centred support. Youll help ensure high-quality practice, strong communication and a consistent approach across the staff team.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting the Registered Manager with the daily operational running of the serviceLeading, supervising and developing staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred supportEnsuring Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches are embedded in everyday practiceContributing to assessments, risk management and support planningOverseeing rota planning, shift coordination and staff allocationSupporting MDT communication, family involvement and partnership workingEnsuring accurate documentation, incident reporting and governance requirementsHelping maintain a safe, structured and enabling environment for residents and staffThis is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, offering up to £34,000 per annum.Shifts may include occasional evenings, weekends or on-call duties depending on service need.What were looking forTo ensure the right leadership for this complex and specialist service, applicants must have:Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autismExperience working with behaviours that challenge or complex risksExperience leading or supervising staff in a care or supported living settingA Level 3 qualification in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), or a willingness to work towards this as part of the roleWere also looking for:A calm, confident and resilient approachStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to model and uphold PBS-informed practiceConfidence overseeing complex support plans and risk assessmentsA proactive, organised and solution-focused mindsetWillingness to work closely with the Registered Manager and wider MDTA Full UK Driving LicenceWhy join us?Youll be joining a values-led organisation at the start of an exciting new service.As Deputy Manager at Oldland Common, youll play a central role in supporting people to leave hospital and build safer, happier futures in the community.We offer:Salary of up to £34,000 per annumCompany pensionRefer-a-friend bonus (earn up to £1,000)Full training, including Positive Behaviour SupportOpportunities for career progressionBlue Light Card (discounts in shops and restaurants)A caring, collaborative culture where every voice mattersJob security, flexibility and ongoing supportAbout AgincareWere a family-run organisation that has been caring for people since 1986.
