Job Title: Sheet Metal WorkerLocation: Barrow-In-Furness – Based on site full timeRequirements: Apprenticeship CertificateWhat you'll be doing:Fabricate, Assemble and Install sheet metal itemsConfidently use of Welding and Fabrication equipment on Astute and/or Dreadnought class submarines whilst they are under constructionWorking with Pipe protection, glam plates, small support systems- Bunk spacesYour Skills and Experience:Hold NVQ Level 3 in Sheetmetal or Metal FabricationExperience in Submarine/Ship Building construction and exposure to industrial sites is keyAdditional information:Before starting you must hold FULL SC- Estimated minimum time scale for this is 6 to 8 weeksOnce you start you will be on a 4 day week, then be moved to a permanent shift patten once training is completedTraining - This is completed over 2 weeksTest 1: PracticalSteelwork drawingsMMA track weldingBasic Thermal cuttingTest 2: TheoryAbrasive wheelsPumps & fairing aidsAfter this you will do the below:4-5 days induction- this will also cover health and safetyRandom drug test may be required prior to startingPlease note this is fully paid for by the clientPotential Shift Patterns: 4 day week followed by 3 on 4 offYou will be required to work various shift patterns (see below) 7 day working arrangements may also applyJBRP1_UKTJ
