QUANTITY SURVEYOR (FTC MATERNITY COVER)Location: ReadingSalary: £80,000 £90,000 per annumContract: 12-month fixed-term (with potential to go permanent)The RoleA leading design & build commercial interiors contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.The business delivers fast-paced interior fit-out projects ranging from £500k to £20m, with a typical project value of £1.5m£4.5m. This role will take ownership of multiple live projects, working closely with the delivery and design teams to manage costs across the full lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesFull commercial management of D&B interior fit-out projectsPreparing and managing project budgets and cost plansProcurement of subcontractors and supplier packagesManaging valuations, variations, and final accountsCost reporting and forecasting across multiple projectsSupporting project teams with commercial strategy and risk mitigationLiaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractorsRequirementsProven Quantity Surveying experience within interior fit-out or refurbishmentStrong understanding of Design & Build contractsExperience managing projects in the £1m£10m+ rangeCommercially driven with strong cost control capabilityExcellent stakeholder and subcontractor management skillsDegree qualified or equivalent preferredWhats on Offer£80k£90k salaryPotential to convert to a permanent roleExposure to high-profile commercial interior projectsCollaborative, delivery-focused environmentif youre looking for a role where youll genuinely influence project performance and have the opportunity to secure something long-term, Id love to hear from you send your CV to for a confidential chat.JBRP1_UKTJ
