Role: Music TeacherLocation:Manchester Enterprise AcademyRate of Pay:£150to £180 a daydepending on experienceWork Pattern: Monday to FridayDuration:Fixed Term job until the end ofJuly 8am- 4pmHG Recruitment are recruiting for temporaryMUSIC TEACHERbased in MANCHESTER.The Secondary SchoolMUSIC TEACHERis responsible fordelivering high-quality music education to students aged 1118, fostering creativity, musical skill, and an appreciation of music across a range of styles, traditions, and technologies. The role supports students academic progress, personal development, and engagement with the wider school community.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare, and deliver engaging music lessons in line with the national or school curriculumTeach a range of musical skills, including performance, composition, listening, and music theoryAssess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedbackPrepare students for examinations, performances, and assessmentsManage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environmentOrganise and support extracurricular activities such as choirs, bands, ensembles, and school performancesUse music technology and resources effectively, including notation software and recording toolsDifferentiate lessons to meet the needs of students of varying abilities and backgroundsContribute to curriculum development and departmental planningParticipate in school events, concerts, parents evenings, and professional development activitiesUphold safeguarding, health and safety, and school policiesat all timesPerson SpecificationEssentialQualified Teacher Status (or equivalent)Degree in Music or a related subjectStrong knowledge of music theory, performance, and compositionAbility to teach across Key Stages (or equivalent secondary levels)Excellent communication and classroom management skillsCommitment to inclusive education and student wellbeingDesirableAbility to teach an instrument or vocal studiesExperience preparing students for public examinationsExperience leading extracurricular music activitiesConfidence using music technology and digital learning toolsSkills and AttributesPassion for music education and youth developmentCreativity and enthusiasm in lesson deliveryStrong organisational and time-management skillsAbility to work collaboratively within a department and wider school teamCommitment to ongoing professional developmentAbout HG RecruitmentDecades of experience in recruitment and supply, HG has a strong well-established reputation.
