The role is based in our Watford office, with regular travel to London and surrounding areas to attend client offices and live construction sites.You will support the commercial delivery of MEP packages, typically working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Mechanical & Electrical Contractors.Key ResponsibilitiesMeasurement and quantification of MEP works from drawings and specifications (take-offs)Tendering and procurement of MEP packagesPreparation of subcontract enquiries and analysis of returnsPayment applications and upstream account managementCost reporting (CVR), forecasting and cashflow managementSubcontractor procurement and downstream account managementChange management (variations) both upstream and downstreamAssisting with the preparation and agreement of final accountsAttendance at client and site commercial meetingsSkills & ExperienceExperience working on M&E / MEP projects preferredStrong ambition to develop a long-term career in MEP Quantity SurveyingCandidates from a technical M&E background looking to transition into Quantity Surveying are encouragedIdeally experience working for an M&E main contractor or specialist subcontractorStrong post-contract experience highly valuedCandidate RequirementsRelevant experience as a Mechanical & Electrical Quantity Surveyor (Assistant to Intermediate level)Commutable to Watford and willing to travel regularly into LondonEligible to work in the UKCSCS Card holderDegree (or equivalent qualification)MRICS or working towardsStrong numerical and IT skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPointCareer Development, Training & ProgressionWe are committed to long-term professional development and offer:Full support for career progressionStructured in-house training in MEP commercial management and contract administrationOngoing mentoring from experienced commercial professionalsAPC mentoring and structured support towards MRICSExposure to a wide range of MEP projects to accelerate technical and commercial growthBenefits & RewardFreelance consideredSalary: £35,000 £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)JBRP1_UKTJ
