The site employs around 270 people and delivers high-quality products to a dedicated customer base.What youll be doingTake the lead in a dynamic engineering role where youll ensure production assets run at peak performance.Youll drive planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance, support machinery setups and changeovers, and collaborate across teams to deliver continuous improvement.With a focus on fault diagnosis, technical leadership, and hands-on problem solving, this role offers the chance to make a real impact in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.Role Accountabilities:Perform planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance on production assetsDiagnose and resolve faults across electrical, mechanical, and automation systemsSupport machinery setups, changeovers, installations, and removalsManufacture and repair components for processing and packaging equipmentLead and contribute to continuous improvement projectsMaintain accurate engineering documentation and asset recordsMentor and support technical development of team membersEnsure tools and equipment are available and functioningAct as point of contact during weekends or manager absenceEscalate issues to senior engineering management when requiredParticipate in internal and external auditsWhat were looking forStrong people management experienceA multi skilled backgroundExperience completing both reactive and planned maintenance activity and small installationsStrong communication skills both written and verbalAppropriate professional mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications and trainingThorough understanding of common mechanical and electrical systemsProfessional attitude with plenty of drive and enthusiasmGood IT skills including Word,Exceland OutlookAt Greencore we put our people at the core.
