Make a real difference to apprentices lives and futures by becoming our next Apprenticeship Mentor!Are you passionate about supporting learners to thrive, stay engaged, and achieve their potential?Were looking for an Apprenticeship Mentor to join our Apprenticeship Academy at Peterborough College, where youll play a vital role in shaping positive outcomes for our apprentices. This is a part time (30 hours per week) fixed term contract to cover Maternity.This is a rewarding, people-focused role where youll combine mentoring, pastoral support, personal development delivery and data-led interventions to help apprentices succeed both personally and professionally.About the roleReporting to the Group Apprenticeship Delivery Manager, youll work closely with curriculum teams, Student Services, ALS, Welfare, Careers, and employer partners to support apprentices across a diverse range of programmes.The Apprenticeship Mentor will be responsible for:Delivering engaging personal development sessions aligned to the OFSTED Education Inspection FrameworkProviding pastoral support and acting as a key point of contact for apprentices in your caseloadIdentifying additional support needs and coordinating timely interventions, particularly for vulnerable learnersMonitoring attendance, punctuality, retention and progress, using data to drive improvementWorking collaboratively with employers to ensure apprentices are supported both on programme and in the workplaceSupporting safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion across the Apprenticeship AcademyYour work will directly contribute to high retention, strong attendance and positive destinations for our apprentices.Who were looking forWere keen to hear from candidates who:Have experience working with young people or adults in a support, mentoring or educational roleAre confident delivering group sessions and building positive, professional relationshipsUnderstand the importance of safeguarding, inclusion and learner wellbeingAre organised, resilient and able to manage competing prioritiesCommunicate effectively with learners, colleagues and external partnersA Level 2 qualification in learner support, mentoring or coaching is essential.
