Job Title: Childcare AssistantSalary: £24,434 - £24,819 Pro RataLocation: PulboroughLiberty Recruitment Group is proud to be partnering with a fantastic education provider in Pulborough, who is looking for a Childcare Assistant to join them on a permanent basis. We can consider candidates on a full or part-time basis; however, you will be required to work full 7.5-hour shifts and school hours cannot be considered due to the business needs.Childcare Assistant Role Overview:You will be responsible for ensuring a safe, caring and stimulating childcare environment. You will also be required to organise and implement a programme of activities based in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage for each age group.What the Childcare Assistant role will involve:To ensure that the children are happy, settled and well cared forTo be a key worker for named children and to plan for individual needs and to keep accurate recordsTo work as part of a team to ensure that the childrens individual needs are met, and ensure that every child reaches their full potentialTo work as part of a team to ensure effective and appropriate communication with parents, carers, members of staff and external agenciesTo ensure health, hygiene and safety standards are maintainedTo assist with all activities in the nursery as requested by senior staffTo respect and maintain the working environment and resourcesTo adhere to all operational policies and proceduresWhat youll bring:Level 3 in Early Years, Care and Education (or equivalent) is essentialCurrent First Aid certificate would be desirablePrevious experience of working in a childcare setting or have undertaken a childcare placementKnowledge of Early Years Regulations, Safeguarding and Health & SafetyA kind and personable nature, with the ability to relate to all children on their levelAdditional information:22 days holiday, plus bank holidays and additional leave for Christmas and New YearSalary progression opportunitiesThe Nursery is open 51 weeks of the year with core opening hours of 7.30am 6 pm closing only for bank holidays and 1 week between Christmas and New YearIf you feel that you have the relevant skills and experience to excel in this role.
