PipefitterTheOpportunity:If you are either an experienced Pipefitter or a Commercial Plumber looking for a change of direction within the renewable sector, then this is a fabulous role for you. You will join a well established renewable business and represent them on site across the whole of Southern England as a full time, employed Pipefitter, whilst travelling to and from their Devon head office. You will be provided with your own van and equipment, and there will be a requirement to travel and stay away from home for up to 3-4 nights per week, Mon-Fri.Job Responsibilities:Act as the on-site lead for pipefitting activities, offering guidance, technical expertise, and decision-making support to the project managerUndertake commercial (biomass) boiler installations and project work on a national basisTroubleshoot faults and attend breakdownsCarry out all installation work adhering fully to all design drawings issued, reporting and documenting any deviations where necessaryUndertake risk assessments for all site visitsEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledgePreferred Skills:Minimum 5 years experience in commercial plumbing or previous experience in a similar position either as apipefitter.Strong knowledge of tools, systems, and installation techniques specific to commercial settings.NVQ level 2 qualification in Plumbing or equivalent.Full UK Driving License (Essential for field-based travel), combined with the flexibility and desire to stay away from home potentially 3-4 weeknights per week.Ideally youll have some welding experience, and an interest in working in the renewable sector.Pay and Benefits:Salary: Up to £40,000 salary depending on experienceHours: Permanent, 40-hour week (Monday to Friday)Location: Tiverton (National field-based travel required)Holiday: 21 days + Bank Holidays (Increasing by 1 day per year of service, up to 5 additional days)Perks: Additional /"Birthday Holiday/" offSupport: Comprehensive health and well-being package & pension schemeTravel: Overnight expenses paid when working awayDevelopment: Comprehensive, industry-specific technical training providedMeridian Business Support is a recruitment specialist acting on behalf of our client as an Employment Agency for this vacancy.JBRP1_UKTJ
