Registered Manager| Manchester| Full Time | £50,000 £60,000 DOE + Bonus SchemeOur client provides therapeutic residential care for children and young people aged 1117 with emotional and behavioural difficulties.They are seeking an experienced Registered Childrens Home Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a regulated childrens home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance.Whats in it for you?Performance-related bonusCareer progression opportunitiesRegistered Manager position within a regulated childrens homeOpportunity to work within a therapeutic residential settingAre you the right person for the job?This role is suited to an established Registered Manager with proven experience in the sector and a strong track record of managing childrens residential services.You will have:Extensive experience working in childrens health and social care, supporting looked-after children and young peopleA minimum of 2 years experience (within the past 5 years) working with children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD) in a childrens residential or equivalent settingAt least 1 year of senior-level experience in a care setting, supervising and managing staffExperience of effectively managing and delivering regulated servicesStrong experience working within safeguarding and child protection frameworksProven experience managing Ofsted inspections, achieving a minimum overall rating of GoodExperience of working within a therapeutic care environmentLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and complianceA full UK driving licenceA calm, resilient and child-focused leadership styleExperience recruiting, supervising, appraising and managing staff performanceConfidence managing audits, inspections and regulatory requirementsWhat will your role look like?Full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Childrens HomeLeading, motivating, recruiting and developing a skilled staff teamEnsuring compliance with Ofsted, legislation and the Statement of PurposeManaging Ofsted inspections and implementing recommendationsCompleting Regulation 44 and 45 reports and notifying Ofsted of significant eventsEmbedding robust safeguarding practices in line with organisational and Local Authority proceduresOverseeing staffing levels, rotas and training complianceManaging budgets and supporting occupancy targetsMaintaining accurate records, registers and reporting systemsManaging complaints, incidents and investigations, using learning to drive improvementBuilding strong relationships with professionals, families and commissionersWorking flexibly to ensure the safe delivery of the serviceWhats next?
