Title: AWS Cloud Security ArchitectLocation: Remote UK / With travel to siteType: ContractDuration: To Dec 2027 with 6 month initialRate: £650 to £700 per day / Inside IR35OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Architect to lead and shape security design across multiple international technology initiatives. This role provides hands-on security guidance, defines secure architecture patterns, and ensures risks are effectively managed throughout deliveryKey ResponsibilitiesSet the security direction for programmes and projects, ensuring alignment with organisational standardsDefine and own end-to-end security architecture and scope across global deploymentsEmbed secure design principle, patterns, and controls into engineering and DevOps workflowsPartner daily with technical teams to provide practical security guidance and unblock delivery challengesEnsure solutions meet security requirements, with clear identification and management of risk and residual exposureSupport technical design reviews and coordinate assurancePerform first line risk assessmentsConduct supplier security reviews and contribute to third-party contract security requirementsDevelop mitigation strategies to strengthen overall cyber resilienceMaintain clear documentation and reporting across risk, assurance and complianceRequirementsDegree qualified (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field7+ year' experience in cloud and information security rolesStrong stakeholder engagement skillsProven ability to influence, lead, and operate effectively in fast-moving environmentsWorking knowledge of NIST CSF, Cyber Assurance Framework (CAF), NSCS Cloud PrinciplesWorking knowledge with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Entra ID and M365
