You will be delivering high-quality teaching to learners who are resitting Maths as part of their study programme, supporting them to achieve a Grade 4 and develop essential numeracy skills for work, life, and further study.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging and accessible GCSE English lessons to learners of mixed abilitiesPlan and prepare schemes of work, lesson resources, and assessmentsTrack learner progress, marking and providing timely feedbackSupport students with gaps in knowledge, building confidence and motivationWork collaboratively with the Maths team and wider curriculum staffMaintain high standards of classroom management and a positive learning environmentSkills & Experience RequiredExperience teaching GCSE English within FE or secondary educationStrong understanding of the GCSE specification and effective resit strategiesAbility to differentiate and adapt teaching to varied learning needsExcellent communication, organisational skills, and ability to inspire learnersQualifications (any of the following welcome)We welcome applicants with a range of UK teaching qualifications, including (but not limited to):QTS, QTLS, PGCE, CertEd, DTLLS, DET, Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training, or equivalent.A Maths-specific qualification or strong numeracy background is essential.What's on OfferCompetitive hourly pay (based on experience and qualifications)Supportive FE environment with strong learner-focused valuesOpportunity to make a meaningful impact on student attainment and confidenceHow to ApplyIf you are passionate about helping learners succeed in GCSE English, we'd love to hear from you.
