Business Development ManagerContent With Purpose (certified B-Corps & member of 1% for the Planet) is seeking an experienced new business sales presenter (a BDM role we title 'Series Development Lead') to join our team and work on a fully remote basis or hybrid basis if located near our office in Tring in Hertfordshire.With an exceptional pre-sales team scheduling most of your video calls in advance, the Series Development Lead will be responsible for delivering multiple new business video presentations each week, helping to screen and secure purpose-led organisations to feature as Content Partners in our award-winning video series.This role will suit an experienced new business B2B media sales professional with a good working knowledge of sustainable development issues, global challenges and current affairs, who can deliver video presentations to c-suite decision makers confidently and consistently.(See how to apply for this position at the bottom of this job description - candidates who only apply using LinkedIn won't be considered - closing date 23rd March).About CWPCWP (Content With Purpose) is dedicated to uncovering, creating and sharing stories that truly matter, stories that inspire action, cultivate hope, and highlight how individuals and organisations can contribute to a better society and a healthier planet.How?We partner with professional member associations, NGOs and trade bodies to produce and promote sector-focused digital video series. The digital series we produce support professionals across industries to drive progress towards a better tomorrow.Who?Our content showcases pioneers across government, academia, the private sector, non-profits and beyond – individuals and organisations leading the way in sustainable innovation and transformation.Example ContentThe Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) partnered with Content With Purpose (CWP) to create Travel Redefined: Tourism for People and Planet, a wide-ranging digital film series exploring tourism's potential to drive positive social, cultural, environmental and economic impact.the role – Series Development LeadThe Series Development Lead will be responsible for delivering video presentations (alongside our current UK based Series Development Lead), helping to screen and secure purpose-led organisations to feature as Content Partners in our award-winning video series.Each call lasts for up to one hour, and you'll be speaking with CEOs, Marketing Directors, academics, government leaders, heads of departments, sustainability professionals and other senior decision makers. You'll also spend your time researching organisations and working closely with our Series Development Team (pre-sales) on outreach and setting up calls with the most appropriate organisations.Key responsibilities:Deliver several video presentations per day – securing Content Partners for each of our digital series (majority of meetings pre-scheduled by our series development team)Follow up with interested organisations with in-depth emails and ongoing communications and callsContract negotiations, procurement and onboarding of new Content PartnersContribute towards thorough industry-analysis and research activity to identify potential Content Partners for each projectIndustry research, insights, general learning for each projectKnowledge sharing with our creative and editorial team to inform all aspects of our digital seriesContinuous input and development on our research and sales processCollaborate with other departments to ensure seamless, efficient working and excellent customer service and communicationHelp to shape and develop the company as we grow into new segments and territoriesSupport and deliver CWP's better business, environmental and social justice aims.Experience, skills, and interests:Experience:Proven business development (new business) sales experience with an impressive track record of delivering results, including industry research, presenting to c-suite and closing deals (ideally in media, content, storytelling, or related service-based sales)Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExceptional remote working communication with internal teamsGood working knowledge of current affairs, sustainable development issues and global challenges spanning the public and private sector.Skills:The highest-level communication (written and verbal), presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
