We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Mechanic/Technician to join our team based in Thatcham, Berkshire.Is your CV ready If so, and you are confident this is the role for you, make sure to apply asap.The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they are safe, compliant, and roadworthy at all times.Key Responsibilities Day to day repair and preventative maintenance of HGVs and light vans, including MOT prep, PMI's, servicing and defects Repairs and maintenance of specialist road marking machines & plant On call Breakdown cover (Van provided) with on-call rota 1 week in 4 Attend satellite depots to carry out repairs and maintenance Proactively maintain a safe and healthy working environment for yourself and colleagues Requirements Have a good working and mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles Have at least 5 years relevant experience in commercial and plant fitting, or qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) or above Willing to undertake any additional training as deemed necessary as and when required.Honesty and Integrity Punctual Good communication skills Team work Problem solving and be able to use good initiative Calm under pressure Desirable Fabrication and welding Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems LGV licence What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience.Overtime opportunities.Ongoing training and development.Supportive and professional working environment. xjdpvnf Company pension scheme.
