As the Reliable Shift Engineer, you are the backbone of high-speed FMCG production site, where every minute of downtime has a direct operational and commercial impact.While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.This is a hands-on role within a high-volume manufacturing environment, working on a rotating continental shift pattern.You (Reliable Shift Engineer) will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of production and packaging equipment.Key responsibilities include: Maintaining, fault-finding, and optimising high-speed production and packaging machinery Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns to support production targets Driving continuous improvement to improve efficiency and reliability The Successful Reliable Shift Engineer, Experience within an FMCG, food, beverage, or high-speed manufacturing environment or general manufacturing An xjdpvnf NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering Good working knowledge of PLCs, automation, conveyors, and packaging lines Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure A proactive, team-focused approach with a strong safety mindset
