ARM are supporting a market-leading Automotive testing company to recruit a Principal Engineer within their Passive Safety department.Up to £70,000 + Bonus + BenefitsWe're looking for an experienced Test Engineering Manager to lead a small technical team delivering passive safety testing to global standards on their sled facility. This is a hands-on leadership role in a high-performance, regulated test environment.ResponsibilitiesLead Health & Safety, risk assessments, and safe test operationsManage and develop a small team of engineers and techniciansPlan workloads, schedules, and resourcesAct as key technical contact for customers and future programmesDrive continuous improvement and performance metricsOwn departmental finances including invoicing and forecastingSupport ISO17025, ISO9001, and other accreditationsOversee sled testing procedures, equipment utilisation, and data analysisExperienceDegree-qualified, ideally in Automotive Engineering5+ years' experience in automotive or aerospace passive safety testingStrong sled testing expertise (essential)Proven people management and planning skillsExpert knowledge of European, Federal, and Global safety standardsExperience with data acquisition, high-speed cameras, and test instrumentationStrong understanding of ATD injury criteria and data interpretationDesirablesStatic rig testing experienceFARO Arm or CMM experience*Must have full-time, permanent right to work in the UK.
