Job OverviewAn established manufacturing operation is currently seeking skilled MIG/MAG Welders to support ongoing fabrication and assembly work. This position is ideal for experienced welders who are confident working from engineering drawings and producing consistently high-quality work within a production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG/MAG welding on mild steel components ranging from 1.5mm to 15mm in thicknessWeld in a variety of positions to specified quality standardsRead and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsProduce components on a right-first-time basisIdentify and escalate any non-conformances to the relevant supervisorMaintain high standards of housekeeping within the work areaWork collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlinesEssential RequirementsCompleted a recognised apprenticeship in Welding & Fabrication or be time-served in a similar roleDemonstrable experience in MIG/MAG welding across a range of material thicknessesAbility to read and understand technical and engineering drawingsPrevious experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment is desirableSelf-motivated with a proactive and flexible approach to workWillingness to learn and undertake a variety of tasks as requiredStrong attention to detail and qualityAbility to work effectively as part of a team while meeting customer, quality, and regulatory standardsPackage£13.00 – £17.00 per hour, depending on experience
