Location: Covering all Depots across the network from Horsham, Pulborough, and West Sussex, to Brighton, Hove, and Shoreham-by-Sea, east to Rye and Normans Bay, and north to East Grinstead and Horley.Travel across all locations will be required.Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:30 (additional hours as needed)About the RoleWe are looking for a Maintenance Electrician to carry out reactive and planned electrical maintenance across the client's asset portfolio. This is a varied, hands-on role involving site visits and call-outs. You will work closely with the Contracts Manager and site foreman to ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with client specifications.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive and check deliveries of materials, passing delivery notes to the site foremanCarry out reactive and planned maintenance on all electrical equipment listed on the client's asset registerComplete worksheets accurately and submit to Head Office on a weekly basisIdentify and report on the condition of plant and equipment, including Life Expired Asset reportsComplete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with client specificationsCompile lists of remedial works identified during PPM visitsAssist the Contracts Manager with costing remedial worksOrder job materials and submit associated paperwork to Head Office weeklyAttend training and Health & Safety courses as directedReport accidents immediately to the designated First Aider and complete accident forms as requiredWorking Hours & Call-OutsStandard hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:30Additional hours may be required, including occasional weekend workCall-out duties: contractually every four weeks (currently averaging every six weeks)Emergency response required between 17:30 – 08:00 during on-call week (7-day period)Call-out standby: £125 per weekOvertime:1.5x hourly rate: Mon–Fri 17:30–08:00 & Sat 08:00–14:002x hourly rate: Sat 14:00 – Mon 08:00Minimum 4 hours paid per call attendedBenefits20 days annual leaveAuto-enrol pension (3% employer / 5% employee)Door-to-door pay (travel included)Company van, fuel card, iPad & iPhone providedIdeal CandidateProven experience in electrical maintenance on industrial or commercial assetsAble to read engineering drawings and electrical circuit diagramsComfortable attending call-outs and flexible to changing schedules
