You will support both planned and reactive maintenance activities, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and help minimize production downtime.Key Tasks of a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and equipmentRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out effective fault diagnosis and repairWork with both mechanical and electrical systems (bias can be considered)Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery upgradesEnsure all maintenance work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulationsMaintain accurate maintenance records and logsParticipate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiativesProvide on-call support as part of a rota to respond to out-of-hours issuesRequirements / Ideal Skill set of a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:Time-served apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND)Proven experience in a similar maintenance engineering role, ideally within a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance techniquesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsExperience with PLCs, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and automated systems is advantageousGood communication and teamwork skillsFlexibility to provide on-call cover as requiredDesirable:Experience in the animal feed, food, or process manufacturing industryKnowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principlesIf this Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer sounds like you, we'd like to hear from you.JBRP1_UKTJ
