Managing Quantity Surveyor – Tier 1 Main Contractor (Commercial Build)Location: CambridgeSalary: £90-£95k + PackageI'm currently partnering with a top-10 Tier 1 main contractor, renowned for delivering complex, high-value commercial construction projects, who is now looking to appoint an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to lead one of their commercial teams.This is a senior leadership position, responsible for the commercial performance of a portfolio of projects and the line management of a team of 5–10 Quantity Surveyors. The role suits a commercially strategic professional who enjoys leading people as much as leading projects.The role will include:Overall commercial responsibility for a portfolio of commercial build projectsLine management, mentoring, and development of a team of 5–10 QSsSetting commercial strategy and ensuring robust cost control across projectsOversight of procurement, subcontractor management, and final accountsSupporting project teams with risk management and commercial reportingWorking closely with senior operational and commercial leadershipWhat my client is looking for:Proven experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS operating at portfolio levelDemonstrable experience managing teams of similar sizeStrong background with a Tier 1 or large main contractorExperience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skillsDfE framework experience is advantageous, but not essentialWhat's on offer:Senior leadership role with a top-10 Tier 1 contractorResponsibility, autonomy, and influence over major commercial decisionsClear progression opportunities into Commercial Manager or Director-level rolesLong-term security through a strong and diverse project pipelineTo be considered for this position please apply with your CV, for further information please contact Jenny Saban in our Cambridge officeJBRP1_UKTJ
