We celebrate differences, encourage everyone to join us, and be themselves at work.WHAT WILL THIS ROLE INVOLVE?As a Senior Merchandiser, you will be responsible for driving key commercial opportunities to maximise sales and profit, through efficient use of stock, driving continuous improvements, and critical path management.WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?Product Selection:Oversee multiple categories, whilst working in partnership with buyers to research and select products that align with the brand's identity and target audience. Influence buyers by supporting them with performance analysisStrategy Planning:Develop and execute seasonal and annual commercial strategies to maximise departmental profit. Lead on multiple category strategies to drive commercial performance and profitabilityRange Planning:Planning rate of sales for promotional activity, new initiatives and core range reviews. Providing commercial roll ups to present for sign off to senior leadership team, and board level. Establish price architecture with specific pricing strategies that align with overall business strategyInventory Management:Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate product availability while minimising excess stock. Manage exit of stock with profitability modelling and analysis. Forward plan to ensure the right stock, right place, right timeWSSI Management:Management of WSSI for multiple categories to support cash flow forecasting, whilst maintaining availability and maintaining shelf fill. Expertly manage the OTB budget, ensuring cash flow is optimised and stock-to-sales ratios are healthy. Own, manage & execute intake plans in line with inbound and stock budget targetsSales Analysis:Analyse sales data to identify trends and make informed decisions about product assortment and pricingVendor Management:Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and ensure product qualityCustomer Insights:Stay updated on customer preferences and market trends to anticipate demand - using data upon affluence, and using our own Ryman Rewards dataCritical Path Management:Own your own critical path for your categories and manage key stakeholders to ensure new initiatives and promotional activities launch on time and in full.
