Job Description

Puma Investments are looking for an Interim Internal Sales Manager join our Business Development team in London. The role is a Fixed Term Contract with a duration of 12-18 months.Puma Investments raises funds from a variety of sources including wealth managers and IFAs from the very large including SJP, Barclays Wealth, Evelyn Partners, and Cazenove, through regional players to the very small independents, from execution-only brokers and from HNWs. We also work with leading wrap platforms including Fidelity, Aberdeen, M&G and Transact.Within this role, you will work closely with the Head of Business Development to develop and grow Puma's business. This role is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for the delivery and execution of the internal sales strategy, and for leading and developing a high-performing internal sales team.Role Responsibilities:Provide end-to-end leadership and accountability for the internal sales functionLead, coach, and develop Internal BDMs to sustain high performance and complianceOptimise the remit, structure, and operating process of the internal business development team, refining where necessarySet and monitor sales activity and targetsEnsure product champions operate with clarity, credibility, and commercial impactResponsibility for recruiting, training and developing IBDMs to ensure they are technically knowledgeable and able to support the intermediary market in a compliant and competent mannerCollaborate effectively with Client Onboarding and Client Relations to ensure a seamless client journeyAnalyse and leverage data and insights to drive informed decision-making and lead sales campaignsLead continuous improvement through structured coaching and development initiativesOwn and evolve KPI frameworks and reporting using PowerBI dashboardsAttend and effectively contribute to the Monthly Sales meeting with the Head of Business Development and Associate Area Sales Directors to define and implement sales strategyArrange and attend individual monthly development meetings with each of the Internal Business Development Managers, and the Head of Business DevelopmentAttend and effectively contribute to weekly Client Relations and Client Onboarding meetingRun weekly IBDM Team meetingExperience Required:Previous experience of leading a high-performing significantly sized internal sales function with a focus on selling tax efficient products, or case led products within financial servicesDemonstrable management, leadership and coaching capability, including the ability to identify capability gaps and guide individuals' development in a supportive wayProven ability to develop deep technical understanding of product range to ensure teams compliance when communicating with clientsA passion and desire to deliver outstanding customer service and instil that across the BDM teamCommercially astute and results-drivenA deep understanding of the role of an Internal BDMProven ability to motivate and lead from the front with a confident and credible leadership styleHighly organised with the ability to manage a wide range of tasks and responsibilitiesPersonal Attributes:KindValues-drivenExcellent communicatorCollaborative and approachableAdaptable and willing to get stuck into whatever needs doingDepth of character and gravitas but operating with humilityThe drive and attitude to excel in a high performing environment whilst maintaining high levels of integrityEnergy, dynamism, and passion for complex business challengeOrganised, rigorous and disciplinedPragmatic and practicalAbout UsFounded in 2012, Puma Capital Group is an award-winning investment manager operating within the tax efficient space and is a leading provider of growth capital to UK SMEs and property finance to developers and real estate investors.The Puma Capital Group comprises four businesses focused on delivering long-term sustainable growth for our investors and partners:Puma InvestmentsPuma Property FinancePuma Growth PartnersPuma Public MarketsCollectively the Group has over £1 billion in assets under management, supports over 14,000 investors, and has funded over £3 billion in property developments across the UK.
