Senior Product Test Development EngineerGlenrothes & Livingston | Full Time | Permanent£7,500 Welcome Bonus + Excellent BenefitsRelocation assistance availableCopello is supporting the recruitment of a Senior Product Test Development Engineer to join an established and growing engineering team within a highly regulated, advanced technology environment.This opportunity offers strong long-term career progression within an R&D-driven organisation that is investing in future capability and expanding its technical teams.The RoleAs a Senior Product Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, validation, and through-life support of test equipment at board, sub-system, and system level.You will work on complex electronic systems deployed across a range of demanding applications, contributing to technically challenging and safety-critical programmes.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop functional test equipment for electronic systemsLead and support hardware/software integration and fault diagnosisProvide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence managementWork collaboratively across engineering disciplines to deliver scalable test solutionsLead design reviews and produce high-quality technical documentationProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineersRequired ExperienceStrong knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit designAbility to produce detailed technical design documentationExperience transferring designs into production environmentsExcellent hardware fault-finding and debugging skillsTest software development experienceExperience supporting and debugging system integrationEligibility for UK Security Clearance (minimum BPSS, ideally SC)Desirable ExperienceSignificant industry experience in test developmentExperience with schematic capture and PCB layout toolsKnowledge of common test architectures (e.g., PXI/LXI)Understanding of measurement uncertainty and its application in test equipment validationExperience with LabVIEW, CVI, TestStand, C# or similar software toolsMixed-signal circuit designHigh-speed serial networksRF electronics knowledgePower supply design experienceWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary£7,500 Welcome / Joining BonusRelocation support (where applicable)37-hour working week with early Friday finish or compressed hours25 days holiday + public holidays, with buy/sell/rollover optionsUp to 5 paid volunteering days annuallyContributory pension scheme (up to 10.5% employer contribution)Discretionary bonus scheme6x salary life assuranceFlexible benefits platform including Health Cash Plan, Dental, Cycle to Work and moreEnhanced sick payEnhanced family-friendly policies
