Aircraft Mechanical Operator – Fast JetsSalary – up to £36,500 plus packageLocation – Lincolnshire, RAF ConingsbySecurity - Please note that to be eligible for this role, you must be eligible for SC clearance and hold a British passport.Copello are working with a leading Defence business who are looking for an experienced Aircraft Mechanical Operator to support frontline military fast jets. You'll play a key role in keeping high-performance combat aircraft mission-ready, working in a fast-paced and safety-critical environment alongside military teams.What you'll do:• Carry out maintenance from strip-down through to installation on aircraft mechanical systems• Inspect, repair, and replace components in line with approved technical documentation• Follow planned and unplanned maintenance schedules confidently and safely• Act as a first signatory, taking responsibility for your work• Read engineering drawings and complete all required paperwork to standardRequired skills:• Relevant aviation or military engineering apprenticeship (e.g. City & Guilds 2675/2661)• Recent experience working on Fast Jet aircraft (Desirable)• Strong understanding of Part 145 / MAOS maintenance standards• Familiarity with depth maintenance documentation
