Commercial Electrician – Solar PVAn established commercial renewable energy contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Electrician to support the delivery of large-scale Solar PV projects across the UK.This role is ideal for a qualified electrician with strong commercial experience who is looking to build a long-term career within the renewable energy sector, working on technically interesting and high-impact projects.Salary & BenefitsSalary from £40,000 to £50,000, depending on experienceCompany vehicle provided, with reasonable personal useIndustry training and ongoing developmentHoliday entitlement included4-day working weeks from spring through to the end of summer, subject to project requirementsLocation & TravelCandidates would need to be located around the Runcorn, Doncaster or Macclesfield area, as this is where the current teams are based.Remote workProjects delivered nationwide, with regular travel and staying away requiredThe RoleYou will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of renewable energy systems, predominantly Solar PV, across commercial and industrial sites. This includes integrating renewable technologies into existing plant rooms and three-phase power systems.Projects are delivered across England, so flexibility to travel and stay away from home on a regular basis is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation and commissioning of commercial-scale Solar PV systemsEnsuring installations are completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety requirementsWorking on three-phase systems and within plant room environmentsSupporting project delivery across multiple UK sitesExperience & RequirementsQualified Electrician with ECS Gold CardProven experience in commercial electrical environments, including three-phase systems and plant roomsStrong ability to read and implement electrical drawings18th Edition Wiring Regulations essentialLevel 3 Inspection and Testing (2391 or equivalent)Solar PV experience desirable but not essentialSSSTS desirable but not essentialTeam-focused approach with strong attention to quality and safetyFull UK driving licence, maximum 6 points, and aged 25 or over for insurance purposesRight to work in the UK is essential as no sponsorships can be provided for this roleWillingness to travel and stay away nationallyThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing renewable energy business that invests in its people, values high standards, and offers clear progression as the company continues to expand.
