Field Service Technician Labquip NDT Ltd Permanent position for a motivated self-starter Location : Stroud, Gloucestershire Labquip NDT Limited is a leading distributor of non-destructive testing (NDT) and elemental analysis equipment.Apply (by clicking the relevant button) after checking through all the related job information below.Serving scientific, technical, and manufacturing sectors, we are seeking a proactive Service Technician to join our growing team.About the Role Based at our Stroud facility, this role involves:- Nationwide service of WAYGATE AGFA STRUCTURIX Film Processors at customer sites.- Participation in LABINO light meter calibrations at Stroud from 2027 onwards for in-house calibrations.The successful candidate should live within a commutable distance of Stroud and will receive on-site mentorship from an experienced engineer (Birmingham-based), along with additional support from our Irish service team.Key Responsibilities- Install, commission, maintain, and repair film processors to manufacturer standards.- Perform Labino light meter calibrations and portable light repairs in-house.- Plan, schedule and document all your own service work, maintain clear communication, and manage spare parts and equipment records.- Work closely with sales teams to identify new service and sales opportunities.- Look after quotations, order fulfilment, technical consultations, and reporting of service metrics via CRM/ERP tools.What You Need- At least two years technical work experience (service experience desirable).- Strong electromechanical aptitude with problem-solving ability.- Competence in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.- Ability to read technical drawings and use standard test equipment.- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.- Proficient written and spoken English.Why Join Us- Comprehensive training from manufacturer and mentorship from a UK colleague transitioning into a sales role and from an experienced service engineer in Dublin, Ireland.- Exposure to a range of manufacturing and inspection industries across Great Britain.- A mix of technical, administrative, and commercial work.Package & Benefits- Competitive salary (depending on experience)- 39 hour work week, MondayFriday- Company card, mobile phone, and laptop provided- Company car or car allowance plus mileage reimbursement- 21 days annual leave, increasing by 1 day every 2 years (up to 28 days)- Permanent position Other organisations may call this role Field Service Engineer, Technical Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or Maintenance Technician.So, if youd like to join us as a Field Service Technician, please apply via the button shown.This vacancy is being advertised by Webrecruit. xjdpvnf The services advertised by Webrecruit are those of an Employment Agency.
