As an Electrical Technician specialising in EICRs and remedial works, youll play a key part in that journey, carrying out essential electrical testing, repairs and upgrades that help us minimise void rent loss and get homes back into use quickly and safely.If youre a skilled electrician who takes pride in doing things right first time, enjoys working independently, and wants to be part of a team that genuinely cares about quality and customer experience, youll feel right at home here.About the RoleYoull carry out day-to-day electrical maintenance across our void properties, including EICRs, rewires, repairs, installations and emergency lighting testing. Working unsupervised, youll deliver high-quality work in line with regulations, safety standards and our void lettable standard, ensuring every home is safe, secure and free from hazards.Youll work closely with our Voids Manager, Senior Technicians, Voids Officers and wider Property Services teams, as well as contractors, suppliers and utility companies. Your work will directly support our ability to turn around homes quickly, safely and to a standard were proud of.Key Responsibilities:Carry out electrical works independently and to a high standard, aiming for a first-time fix wherever possibleComplete EICRs, servicing, repairs, rewires and emergency lighting testing in void and communal areasProduce accurate certificates and documentation in line with procedures and timescalesWork professionally and courteously with customers and colleagues, representing SettleParadigm positivelyFollow all health 'safety requirements, including risk assessments and method statementsReport unsafe working methods, installations or equipment immediatelyUse materials and equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining van stock levelsSupport apprentices or developing colleagues when requiredComply with all procedures relating to vehicles, PPE, ID, telecoms and equipmentWhat Were Looking ForMust havesExtensive experience across domestic electrical work: installations, EICRs, fault finding, repairs and rewiresLogical, methodical approach to diagnosing and solving problemsCity & Guilds 2365 Level 2 & 3 (or equivalent)18th EditionStrong knowledge of relevant legislation, building regulations and health 'safetyGood literacy and numeracyFull clean UK driving licenceAbility to make sound decisions using your own initiativeAble to work independently and as part of a teamClear and effective communication skillsCommitment to excellent customer serviceStrong time-management skills and ability to meet deadlinesCity & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)Nice to havesExperience with domestic smoke alarm systems and communal emergency lighting maintenanceExperience of working in void properties.Strong understanding of social housing operations.BenefitsAt SettleParadigm, we believe in creating an environment where our people feel valued, supported, and inspired to grow.
